On July 3rd, a delegation of technology enterprises from the UK visited and worked with Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corporation (Viettel Solutions) - Member of the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel). This visit takes place at the time of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the UK.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Philomena Chen, Head of Asia-Pacific Markets and Smart City Projects in Northern England, as well as representatives from several leading companies in the fields of logistics, healthcare, education, robotics, smart cities, etc.

The units particularly desired to discuss further about digital transformation solutions, to promote the role of technology in improving the efficiency of business operations, productivity in production and business, and improving the quality of life of people.

The research and production capabilities of Viettel Solutions' team in 4.0 technology have been demonstrated with 2 Gold Awards in the Blockchain and Extended Reality categories. In particular, Viettel Managed Blockchain (VMB) is a platform that helps businesses easily create and manage blockchain networks in a secure, stable, and scalable environment based on popular open source frameworks for businesses Hyperledger Fabric. Viettel Solutions provides a database of 3D models and lessons for teaching materials, allowing teachers to import their own models and design lessons in their own style. With a diverse experience processing and manipulation system, XAP brings a completely new, direct, and more engaging method of learning for students through a variety of device platforms.

At the category honoring the “Customer Interaction Center” solution, Viettel CX Cloud - Viettel's comprehensive omnichannel call center solution for businesses, won the third gold award. Viettel CX Cloud is the first “Made in Vietnam” and “Made by Viettel” unified multi-channel customer service solution. This product is a combination of advanced technologies such as AI, Data Analytics, etc. to improve employee performance and reduce operating costs for businesses; support businesses to build, manage and operate a centralized sales/customer center, ensuring the efficiency of human management and business processes.

In 2022, Viettel made a splash in the technology field in Vietnam with the launch of the large-scale and diverse Viettel Cloud ecosystem. Viettel PMS is the first pharmacy management system to transfer data to the National Drug System in accordance with the promulgated laws, ensuring stability and continuity. Currently, Viettel's solution is occupying the leading market share in Vietnam, covering all 63 provinces and cities in the country.

With the achievement of going global in less than 2 years, owning 10 international corporate customers and reaching the top 2 market share in Vietnam in 2021, Viettel Intelligent Automation (Viettel IA) product won a silver medal in the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) category. Viettel IA is a comprehensive, superior intelligent automation solution that combines software robots (RPA) with other advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), optical character recognition (OCR), and analytics. From June 5th to 9th, 2023, the ADC (Asia Direct Cable) project council held a conference on the largest submarine cable project in Vietnam at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was hosted by Viettel Solutions, a member of the Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel).

The conference took place over 5 days with the participation of 8 investors, including NT, China Telecom, China Unicom, PLDT Inc., Singtel, SoftBank Corp., Tata Communications, Viettel, and contractor NEC.

The focus of the conference was to resolve any implementation issues in order to put the cable into operation early in 2024.

Within the framework of the conference, investors reviewed the project's progress, and proposed topics for discussion on both technical and commercial issues. The conference approved the plan to install equipment at the remaining landing station, and identified the predicted time to complete the landing station of the cable in Singapore, which is also the final landing point of the ADC project.

In addition, plans for integration, testing, and project acceptance, plans for training personnel at landing stations, and terms and adjustments related to the rights and responsibilities of partner members of the ADC system were also discussed in order to ensure the progress of the entire project.

In 2022, Viettel officially announced the landing of the ADC international submarine cable in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, Vietnam. This cable has connections to all 3 major IP hubs in the Asia region (Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore), and is also the largest submarine cable in Vietnam in terms of bandwidth.

According to the Minister of Information and Communications, the construction of new submarine cable is necessary to accelerate Vietnam's goal of becoming a Digital Hub in the region. Therefore, Vietnam needs to develop 4 to 6 new cables by 2030 and Vietnamese telecommunications companies need to take the lead, represent the investment group, and conduct research, evaluation, and investment proposals.

As the only company in Vietnam to invest in the ADC submarine cable, and the owner of the landing station of the cable in Quy Nhon and owns 18Tbps of international capacity on this cable, Viettel is becoming the company with the largest international connectivity infrastructure in Vietnam.

ADC (Asia Direct Cable) is a submarine cable about 9,800 km long connecting China (Hong Kong and Guangdong Province), Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The ADC submarine cable system is designed with 8 fiber pairs (FP) and has the capacity to transmit more than 140 Tbps of data traffic, allowing high-capacity transmission across the East Asia and Southeast Asia region.

This is a submarine cable using the most modern transmission technology, connecting countries in the Asia-Pacific region, with an initial investment of 290 million USD. ADC is capable of supporting applications with increasing bandwidth requirements, thanks to technological advances in the fields of 5G, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence. This will continue to expand the region's telecommunications network.

On May 26th, the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) paid a visit and worked with Viettel Business Solutions Corporation (Viettel Solutions) - a member of the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Brian Shen, Chairman of ASOCIO, and representatives of the management boards of 12 Taiwanese companies - members of the Taiwan (China) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - ASOCIO members operating in the field of information technology such as TPIsoftware Corporation, Vossic Technolgy, WebComm Technology, etc. On behalf of Viettel Solutions, Mr. Le Thanh Cong - Deputy General Director hosted the delegation, attended by leaders of units responsible for developing and trading digital products and solutions in many fields of Viettel Solutions.

The Chairman of ASOCIO highly appreciated Viettel Solutions' achievements in the field of technology and emphasized the importance of promoting international cooperation to promote technological progress and common development. He also emphasized the potential for cooperation created by combining the advantages of Vietnamese and Taiwanese businesses.

Viettel Solutions, a member of the Military Industry and Telecoms Group, signed a strategic business partnership agreement, officially becoming the first and only Managed Service Provider of F5 Networks in the Vietnamese market.

On May 25, 2023, Viettel Solutions and F5 Networks signed a strategic business partnership (MSP) agreement. Representing Viettel Solutions was Mr. Nguyen Manh Ho, CEO, and representing F5 Networks was Mr. Bok Hwee Khoo, Senior Chief Customer Officer for Asia-Pacific region.

This is an vital event for Viettel as its partners with one of the world's leading companies in providing security devices/solutions, improving the performance and availability of web applications, servers, cloud computing resources, and data storage devices.

Through this contract, Viettel Solutions officially becomes the first and only managed service provider of F5 Networks in the Vietnamese market. With the strategic partnership, the two parties will strengthen their partnership, in which Viettel will distribute F5 Networks' products and services to its customers in Vietnam and in the countries where Viettel is investing. The two parties will also cooperate in organizing training programs and in-depth seminars on technology and digital transformation to exchange knowledge, improve capabilities, and jointly develop each other's product and service ecosystems.

Currently, Viettel Solutions has successfully integrated and completed the performance evaluation of the F5 BIG-IP virtual product on the Viettel Cloud infrastructure and completed the testing of features as well as building documentation for setting up and configuring 03 services Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall - WAF, Denial of Service Protection - DoS Layer 7). In addition, Viettel Solutions has also begun to implement outreach, grasp customer needs, promote F5 product business in the form of services (MSP), and continue to seek other opportunities within the scope of strategic comprehensive cooperation.

Hanoi, November 14th, 2022 - The Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) officially launched the Viettel Cloud ecosystem, asserting itself as the largest cloud service provider in Vietnam and ensuring the entire process of the components of a cloud ecosystem. This event is significant in the important digital transformation strategy of Vietnam.

The Viettel Cloud ecosystem includes data centers, technology platforms, cloud-based software services, to security technologies, management and operation services.

Viettel Cloud owns the largest data center infrastructure in Vietnam with 13 data centers, with a scale of over 9,000 racks on 60,000 square meters of floor space. By 2025, Viettel Cloud will be invested an additional 10,000 billion VND to expand to 17,000 racks. According to the roadmap, by 2030, Viettel will increase the investment to 40,000 billion VND with a scale of 34,000 rack.
