Lifetime vaccination management by personal code

In order to prevent parents from missing their children's vaccination schedule, and at the same time to build a lifelong vaccination record management system, the Ministry of Health has built and launched a national immunization management system and Immunization Book. 

Currently, the system has been deployed to nearly 14,000 vaccination facilities nationwide, managing more than 22 million vaccination subjects by unique ID number, vaccination history, vaccine supplies inventory, and lifetime immunization record. The system is built on a cloud computing platform, safe and secure, with real-time visual data.
In addition to managing vaccinations, the system also helps the health sector evaluate each locality so that there can be forecasts and predictions about vaccines as well as possible disease patterns related to vaccines.

Through the rapid and successful nationwide implementation, the health sector is expected to move away from using paper vaccination records and paper reports in vaccination. The National Immunization Management System is expected to better protect children from disease, moving towards a lifelong health management record.

Digitizing the pharmaceutical industry

Since 2018, the Drug Administration of Vietnam has built, connected, and successfully linked 13 online public services with the National Single Window, providing 93 online public services at level 4 serving people and businesses. Enterprises (reaching 100%) are integrated into the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Health to help reduce the time to send and receive dossiers, increase publicity and transparency, and help businesses easily track the progress of dossier processing.
